Mustafa Centre and Its Treasures

Before I get to my main topic, I wish to make it clear that, the Penang Laksa, would be a delicacy that I will savour only in Malaysia, by very renowned/reputable restaurants or foodstalls (some stalls at the perhentians sell rubbish Penang Laksa). This delicacy should NEVER be eaten in Singapore, where the chef probably has no faintest idea on how the dish should taste like. This, coming from a Spize fan myself, I can conclude that the shop is not good in cooking everything as compared to its "power" Spaghetti Aglio Olio and Bangers and Mash.

Nevertheless, I really don't wanna give up on Singapore's food. If someone knows where I can find really good Penang Laksa, let me know.

Anyway for some reason, I was drawn to Mustafa Centre on a Wednesday night and managed to tag DH along (he's in town till Sunday).

Mustafa Centre is a place to love and hate at the same time.

While you can get some really good bargains there, you have to compromise with the lack of walking space and the crowd that just never seems to die down. It was probably apt that the owner decided to make it 24 hrs as he saw the big potential that the store could draw even in the wee hours of the night. And boy, did he make the right move.

So yes, I was checking out Liverpool's jerseys there, which sent both of us into confusion why there were 2 very very similar-looking jerseys, of the same size, yet of a $10 difference. It turned out that the cheaper one, of $78.90 in price, was for the youngsters and the $88.90 jersey was of the women's size. Now, like I said, there was hardly any noticeable difference. Only when I scrutinized it, and placed the shoulders of both jerseys against each other that we saw the shoulders were different. Still, I think getting the cheaper would be a bargain though; like I said, there was no noticeable difference. ;p

Ok, I decided not to purchase it.

But these are what I bought eventually.

This comprises of weights that I can strap onto my left ankle so that I can strengthen back my left knee. $23.40 for this.

Woohoo!! A PINK yoga mat! For 27 bucks!! It was the second cheapest (the cheapest was a yellow $26 one) and since I needed a source of motivation, I decided to get myself a bimbotic colour (I prefer red still, but this was the closest to that) to make myself happy while working out my legs! YAY!!!

And last but not least...

I've searched high and low for this ball, specifically red in colour (most of them are sold with the Champions League logo so it's white in colour). Finally, I managed to get the last of this ball for $27 at Mustafa. *in ultimate delirium*

Now, I finally can be at peace. :)

Ps: If you are wondering why I wanted the ball so much, it was 40% of "I really want to train my kicks" and 60% of "just for collection purposes". :p
